What is it?

The Impact Cup is a peer-to-peer team-based tennis and fundraising event and competition that supports YTSD, free tennis access, and educational resources for youth in our community.

How it Works

Teams will be formed and compete in two ways:

  1. Fundraising: Individual and team fundraising goals directly support free tennis access and educational resources for youth in our community.

  2. Tennis: A fun team-based competition at Barnes Tennis Center during the WTA San Diego.

Fundraising Competition

  1. Raise the most money individually, and as a team, to directly impact recreational and educational resources for under-resourced youth.

  2. By participating you commit to raising a minimum of $2,500!

  3. Players will use their networks to hit their goals and raise money.

  4. The competition will be tracked online where everyone can stay up to date with all the details. (ex. money raised, leading team, etc.)

Tennis Competition

  1. A team-based tennis tournament hosted at Barnes Tennis Center during the opening weekend of the WTA San Diego.

  2. Competition Format: Round-robin, 5 matches per team.

  3. Match Structure: Each match consists of 4 doubles lines (Open, 4.5, 4.0, 3.5) – 1 set per line.

  4. Doubles Pairings: Can be men’s, women’s, or mixed, and can change per match but must stay within the level.

  5. Winning Team: Determined by total sets won; in case of a tie, head-to-head results decide the winner.

Team Format

Team Format:

  • Teams will be the same for the fundraising and tennis competitions.

  • 6 teams, each with a minimum of 8 players (2 per level: Open, 4.5, 4.0, and 3.5).

  • $25,000 Raised:

    • 2 VIP Tickets for Every Session of the WTA San Diego.

    • Invitation for 2 to the Draw Party.

    • Name Recognition at Barnes Tennis Center.

    • Coin Toss for a Match at the San Diego Open.

Sponsor a Full Team! ($40,000)

  • Sponsor a complete team of up to 12 players. Bring your colleagues, friends, and family to play in the Impact Cup.

  • Exclusive VIP Access:

    • 2 VIP Tickets for Every Session of the WTA500 San Diego Open.

    • Invitation for 2 to the Draw Party.

    • Name Recognition at Barnes Tennis Center.

    • Coin Toss for a Match at the San Diego Open.
